Executive Search Management
Maximization of Results as you Recruit Leaders
Our
work with several clients on search assignments is often a by-product of our
consultation on strategic planning organizational development or retention analysis.
Clients are concerned about that fundamental goal of the right person in the
right job and the traditional search does not completely fill their expectations.
Our contributions are normally focused on:
- Helping the client accurately define the job beyond the traditional job
description level by creation of customized "Critical Job Requirements.
- Coordinating the traditional search resources (internal and/or external)
to identify suitable candidates.
- Providing our unique analysis known as Job Fit Analysis
using the System for Identification of Motivated
Abilities (SIMA®).
We have provided our Executive Search Management Services both in the industrial
markets and the educational markets we serve. Examples of some of the steps
in our approach include:
- Discussion and decision on the Critical Job Requirements (CJRs) for the
positions.
- SSI recommends search firm(s) if necessary.
- Preliminary interviews with the top two candidates for the positions are
conducted by the client "Management Team". We can assist with interview
questions based on the CJRs as needed.
- SSI coordinates with our client on the application of the SIMA®
process with the top two or three candidates.
- The Motivated Abilities Patterns (MAPs) of the top candidates from the
SIMA® process are analyzed against the CJRs and related information
and SSI shares our recommendations with our client.
- SSI debriefs the above process and provides feedback to the successful
candidates (2-3 hours) on his/her Motivated Abilities and initial coaching
on how to be successful in the new positions. Similar feedback (2 hours) is
given to the client on how to properly integrate these people in light of
their Motivated Abilities into the company and their new roles.
- SSI provides feedback (1 hour) to the unsuccessful candidates via telephone
on their Motivated Abilities and helps explain why they did not quite fit
the specifications/ expectations of this specific job, thereby maintaining
good relationships with good but not selected candidates.
Given the above you will have a high likelihood of a good "Job Fit"
for your key positions.
The outcome is well qualified individuals in roles that meet organizational
and personal objectives.
