Gary L. Bowman, Ed.D., Senior Consultant

Gary L. Bowman is a senior consultant with Strategic Source specializing in the areas of leadership development, team building, strategic planning and executive coaching. He is certified as a Covey 7 Habits Trainer.

Gary was appointed as Superintendent Emeritus of the Neshaminy School District, recently completing thirty-eight years in education and most recently serving for ten years as Superintendent and CEO of the Neshaminy School District, a large suburban school district of 10,200 students with a staff of over 1,200 employees. He was involved in critical areas of leadership development, curriculum and instruction, supervision and evaluation, contract negotiations, budget and finance issues, strategic planning and the day-to-day leadership and management of this large, complex school system.

Gary is currently serving as an adjunct professor for graduate programs at Temple University and Gwynned-Mercy College. He is involved in many community organizations having recently facilitated the Bucks County Violence Prevention Task Force and the Bucks County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Strategic Plans. He also assisted in the facilitation of the Bucks County United Way and the local Chamber of Commerce Strategic Plans as well as other efforts by local organizations.

Gary is the recipient of the 1998 Garth Pitcairn Award for Business Education Partnership, the 2001 Lincoln Investment/Jerry Wycallis Award for service to the Community and/or Profession presented by the Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators, and the Outstanding Service Award presented by the Bucks County Programs and Services Advisory Council on behalf of the Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22.

Gary has also been recognized for his community efforts. He was presented with the 2002 Man of the Year Award by the Feasterville Business Association, the Paul Sauerbry Award for extraordinary and continuous service to the United Way of Bucks County and the Big Brother/Big Sister Award for outstanding leadership and dedicated service to the youth of Bucks County.

Gary received his B.S. in education from Millersville University and his Masters degree from Trenton State. He received the Doctorate of Education from Nova University with emphasis on educational leadership, and completed post-doctorate work at Bucknell University.

Gary's consulting expertise includes the development of organizational leadership skills, collaboration in the development of vision, mission and strategic goals by the inclusion of all stakeholders, employee development and, most importantly, seeing that the education system is engaged and succeeding in appropriate learning activities that ensure maximum growth and development.
