James P. McHale, President

James P. McHale serves as President of Strategic Source, Inc., where he leads a team of professionals in organization and human performance improvement. His personal areas of expertise include managerial assessment, strategic planning process consultation, business team development, project management, facilitation of complex organizational issues, executive conference design and management development. He has managed the consulting practice since 1989.

Jim consults on strategic planning and human resource issues with a wide range of businesses from Fortune 100 corporations to mid-sized companies to health care and educational institutions. Previously, he served as a senior manager at the Sun Company in human resource development, executive education, benefits administration, financial systems and organizational and systems development. He also served as an adjunct faculty member for the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, NC. Jim has served his community as an Executive Board Member of his local Boy Scout Council as well as a volunteer sports team official.

Jim currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Villanova University, where he teaches Human Resource Management. He has also taught at several universities on topics related to strategic human resources. Jim is a member of a number of associations including the American Society for Training and Development, the Society for Human Resource Management, the Organizational Development Network, and the Professional Ski Instructors of America. He is active as a public speaker at local, regional and national conferences on several management and human resource development topics.

Jim received a B.S. in Management from the Pennsylvania State University and an M.B.A. in Operations Research/Behavioral Science from the University of Maryland. Early in his career, Jim served in the U.S. Army as a Captain in the Data Support Command.

Jim has a strong interest in helping executives plan and direct their strategy and staff their organizations to accomplish that strategy.
