William G. Gaskins, Jr., Ph.D., Senior Consultant

William
Gaskins, senior consultant with SSI is a recognized expert in workshop design
and facilitation. Bill shares his expertise in organization development, staff
development, stress management, and the application of an assorted array of
custom-designed processes in both public and private educational and business
enterprises.
Bill has provided consultative and training services to a variety
of clients including Penn State University, Temple University, Performance Learning
Systems, Inc. of California, four intermediate units in Southeastern Pennsylvania
and the Harrisburg School District. He has served twelve years as a training
facilitator in the Organization Development component of the National Education
Association's Pre-Employment Intern Program.
Bill's early experience was as a public school teacher in the
Pittsburgh School District. He later developed continuing professional education
programs and processes for the Pennsylvania State Education Association and
the National Education Association. He has provided a variety of consulting
services and custom-designed training for many National Education Association
affiliates.

in Intergroup and Human Relations and A Handbook of Structured Experiences in
Instruction and Professional Development
Bill earned a B. S. in elementary Education, an M.Ed. in Counselor
Education, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Pittsburgh.
He has done additional graduate work at McGill University in Montreal and the
University of California at Los Angeles.
Bill has a unique gift of facilitation of diverse groups trying
to define and solve complex issues, and he is frequently recognized as a creator
of colorful and unique training aides.
